PREVENTION
- Isolate
There are laws on the books making ‘incitement to riot’ a criminal offense. So then why is it that the corporate media is not held accountable for their collusion in the deaths of the hundreds of thousands of people that often results from their MAWS mongering? Until we live in a world that takes such reckless endangerment seriously, we must take measures ourselves to isolate the contagion whenever the media endangers the lives of so many people.
- Boycott
An immediate boycott of all newspapers, TV and radio networks should be organized and supported at the first trickle of disinformation, demon-making and fear/hate baiting that signal danger. Just how many more times can we be duped, scammed and bamboozled into supporting campaigns of organized mass murder and plunder that we only later find out were put over with calculated lies..? Even now there are people who still equate the term ‘gullible’ with ufo/crop circle/"Elvis is still alive!" believers... Yet they themselves fall for the same warmongering 'Big Lies' every time.
- Demonstrate
Stage mock tribunals charging any MAWS mongering media outlet as a war criminal. Through loudspeakers, bullhorns or karaoke mikes, read aloud passages from John Stauber and Sheldon Rampton’s, Weapons of Mass Deception – a book that outlines their criminally culpable actions.
- De-Program
Send out teams of de-programmers to isolate the contagion. Repeatedly remind those already exposed of the demonized population’s inherent humanity. If a national leader is being demonized, search old news archives for photos and film clips that show him/her before he/she was singled out for demonization. Photos such as the one that showed a beaming Donald Rumsfield reaching out to shake hands with his good friend Saddam Hussein back in the late 80’s, greatly shortens the time necessary for de-programming.
- Mount Defenses
If a tree falls in a forest but no one is around to hear it – does it still make a sound? If tv’s and radios spew out MAWS propaganda 24/7 but no one tunes in and is taken in – can a MAWS outbreak still occur?
Not likely.
At the first sign of an outbreak, send in troops. Arm them with flyers. Keep the message simple. Show those in danger of infection a simple drawing of a TV or a radio. Draw wavy lines to indicate the MAWS mongering broadcasts emanating from the TV or radio. In large block letter write the words for ‘HATE’, ‘FEAR’, ‘ETHNIC CONFLICT’, 'EMPIRE BUILDING' and ‘BLOOD FOR OIL' over each wavy line. Demonstrate how they can safely remove the innards of their noxious TV and radio sets, fill them with soil, and plant vegetables or flowers in them.
Preventive measures should start first with those individuals who have little or no natural immunity. These are the people for whom the corporate media such as CNN and the network news shows have become the arbiter of their reality. Group intervention is often necessary to show those so afflicted the damage caused by this artificial substance they're mentally digesting and swallowing whole on a nightly basis.
Make them see how ‘Officials say” pronouncements in the corporate media are usually parroted verbatim in authoritative tones no matter how ludicrous or obviously untrue. Spin doctoring and PR damage control maneuvers by officials go largely unchallenged by TV sunday morning pundits who all seem to be on IV valium drips, making any sharp, cricical questioning impossible. National elections are covered almost exclusively in the horserace format of ‘Who’s Leading Who – And by How Much?’ largely ignoring the issues and peripheralizing those candidates who are not frontrunners right out of the gate.
Not one corporate media newsperson hardly dares to speak aloud the name of any candidate who has a really progressive platform and is not beholden to the special interests.. Still, many news junkies feel they need their nightly fix of this electronic slop and swill to stay informed. The resources listed on the next page have proven useful in helping these unfortunate victims see the real nature of their addiction more clearly.
